ОСОБЛИВОСТІ КЛІНІЧНОГО ПЕРЕБІГУ НОВОГО ВАРІАНТА COVID-19 – XBB.1.5

Наприкінці 2022 року з’явився новий штам SARS-CoV-2, що «викликає занепокоєння» – XBB.1.5 – “Kraken”. На відміну від попередніх штамів, він має багато суттєвих мутацій, що дозволяють йому легше оминати імунну систему людини, він має сильнішу здатність зв’язуватися з рецепторами господаря, що робить його дуже заразним. “Kraken” має не важчий перебіг, ніж інші варіанти COVID-19, за даними CDC, він становить низький ризик для здоров’я населення. В клінічній картині переважають «простудні симптоми», лихоманка при цьому відходить на другий план. Інструменти для боротьби з XBB.1.5 залишаються тими ж самими, що і на первинних етапах пандемії. Вакцинація, противірусні препарати та нефармацевтичні заходи є досить ефективними, особливо для запобігання важкого перебігу, госпіталізації та смерті.
